Curro Holdings seeks to appoint a Project Lead: Retention (full-time) at Curro Head Office in Cape Town to commence duties in February 2026

The Project Lead – Retention monitors day-to-day learner retention indicators across all schools. The role conceptualizes, plans, and executes retention-focused campaigns to minimize learner attrition, build customer loyalty, and amplify positive word-of-mouth for the brand. The incumbent supports portfolio management, collaborates with school marketers, and is a brand ambassador, ensuring best-in-class retention practices and continuous improvement in the learner and family experience.

Key Responsibilities & Performance Areas:

Portfolio Manager Support

  • Support the portfolio manager in all learner retention matters
  • Develop, plan, and execute retention-focused projects/campaigns promoting brand loyalty and long-term tenure
  • Collate, analyze, and report on retention data, utilizing internal tools
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to identify at-risk schools and implement retention plans
  • Enhance the effectiveness and relevance of retention activities
  • Track school retention performance; alert management to any concerning indicators
  • Maintain school retention trackers and committee notes
  • Develop relevant, actionable content for bulletins and termly submissions for schools

Retention Desk Management

  • Monitor the retention desk and email accounts
  • Oversee daily feedback to schools, ensuring prompt issue resolution
  • Weekly reporting on retention ticket status (resolved, high priority, breached)
  • Keep informed on CRM system developments, liaising with relevant departments

School Liaison and Training

  • Collaborate with school marketers to innovate and refine learner experience initiatives
  • Onboard new school marketers/bursars/administrators to retention practices
  • Deliver refresher training to schools with high numbers of at-risk learners

Brand & Corporate Identity Management

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for the group
  • Uphold correct usage of corporate identity in all retention-related documentation

Qualifications, experience and skills

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing
  • Qualification in Customer Service
  • Legal Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Brand management expertise
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Service and relationship-oriented
  • Enthusiasm, reliability, and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements
